just baught this tank a few days ago and it arived fully intact, very very very good tank and good quality, if have to give this a 2 thumbs up, but for all u new people, do urselves a favour and break in ur gear boxes before use, meaning take the sprokets off and track and let it run a whole battery pack through it, will greatly inprove performance and also make ur tank run alot more smoother(for all u that have just thrown a pack in and went right from the box ull notice its rough at first till it breaks in, , just my two cents but very nice tank i am pleased. will be doing buisness with these people again in the near future. happy tanking all

The Overall make of this M16 Motor Carriage is very impressive. Although as an RC Model, it omitted some details when compared to the Trumpeter Static model, but still way above ordinary levels. The driving characteristic of it is also surprisingly good, just like what you expected, a hybrid of the wheeled and tracked vehicles. It has 5-channels, and digital proportional, so you could control the vehicle and and the AA guns precisely.

Y-ou have to move the rear mud flap since it is made of hard plastic, not rubber, and it limits the mobility of this carriage. The front tires are also plastic, not rubbers, The sound is only for AA gun firing, there is no engine sound. Those are a little disappointing on this price level models.

The level of detail on the tank is impressive. If one were to look closely enough there are many little details that only a Sherman fanatic would appreciate, such as the vulcanized-rubb-er Firestone tires and the foundry identifying marks in all of the cast surfaces. While the track chevron blocks are a hard plastic (instead of rubber coated metal), the pins and end connectors are metal. The VVSS is a welcome addition to the Sherman fleet and a neat departure from the Tamiya HVSS system that has been the only option in 1/16 scale. The bogeys do not move independently as on the real M4; they teeter instead, but do look convincingly real. The loaders hatch rotates and the M2HB .50 cal. definitely looks good. All hatches except the pistol port are hinged and operable. The air cleaners and exhaust are accurate. The tools and towing cable are removable for detailing. There is even the rear luggage shelf on the back of the hull. The towing cable clasp on the transmission cover is well done. The seam along the turret casting is accurately placed. With some further modeling attention it is definitely possible to create a superb model of the M4A1. A little filling on the turret along the ring area is needed as the real one is not exactly milled like the model, and the mantlet should have the pivot pins covered up. The only complaint is that the general plastic surfaces are totally smooth, which is not correct for the cast Sherman. Not a big deal if you are a good builder though…Hint: To super-detail the turret and hull, consider spreading thin cyanoacyrlate (super glue) with a scouring pad to duplicate the characteristic roughness of cast metal. The random swirls and jagged edges will look quite convincing after primer and paint.

Operational-ly, the run time is easily 20 min. The noises include .30 cal., prominent track squeak, cannon fire, and start-up. Turret rotation is slow, but authentic. Barrel elevation is limited; watch for “clicks” because it seems that the internal breech can scrape the circuit board when rotating the turret at full barrel elevation and cause binding. The air-soft unit is quite powerful and has already destroyed my panzer III in living room combat. Unfortunately, the Sherman recoils forward instead of backward. The tracks seem to be quite reliable throughout the range of suspension motion even though there is no track adjustment. The motor control is nicely proportional for steering and throttle and seems to be very scale-like. Drives well in 2” of snow too! Lights are waaaaaay bright; consider painting them a little to tone down the led effect.

Over-all, I am quite satisfied with the model and would certainly recommend it to someone interested in the Sherman.
